A sure sign of a good time

Debbie and I decided to make a road trip to Bozeman to hike up to the Lewis and Clark caverns on Saturday. We are staying over night but we had quite the trip out to get here. We went through some MAJOR rain and hail . . . more pictures to come. this is just the teaser of some pretty cool pictures!!






Now I have some down time to post more about my weekend get-away! Debbie wanted to get out town and do something different for a day, so we went to Bozeman to the lewis and clark caverns. Lewis and Clark didn't really find these, but the state of Montana thought it would be a better tourist trap. It was actually discovered by two hunters in the 1800's I believe. The original entrance isn't used anymore because of how steep it is. The entire 2 hour tour is pretty cool, literally. I took some pretty interesting pictures that I will be putting up tonight after boot camp.
All in all, we had a great time, regardless that I felt like death warmed over. I am just getting over my head cold and I am so happy about that.

I started my summer nanny job last week and I love it. The family is amazing, the kids are pretty awesome . .. the hours . . .are early. With them both being doctors, I have to be at their house no later than 7:15 every morning. The kids usually have some sort of activity during the day that I take them to, so all 3 of us have some down time. The family is understanding about the army situation and knows it's my other 'job' to be the FRG leader.

Life at the moment is pretty good I suppose. I've had some pretty big speed bumps along the way, but have grown as an adult with this deployment. Brad and I have learned to have better communication. I've learned I'm a people pleaser but that I need to not let that get in my way. I've also learned that no everyone will like the way I choose to do things, but I have an amazing man to back me up!! :-)

As of today, June 28th, we have about 57 more days!! heck yes!! One more week and we'll be in the 40's!! That's ONE month and ONE week!!

My folks will be coming out here to visit me for a few days over the holiday weekend! I'm excited for my dad to come out to see where I live and I'm eager to get a big mom hug! I've needed one for a long time! I'm sure I'll post pictures from their visit here after they leave!
